Clubhouse

We currently have three active boats:

‘Jos Smit’
The ‘Jos Smit’, named after a longtime president and founding father of the club, is our current Race boat.
Purchased new in 2007 from the German dragonboat manufacturers BuK she is a very modern poly/fibreglass boat, conforming to European racing regulations, she has a great shape, speed and equipment.

‘Firestorm’
Firestorm is our space race boat, now retired/squeezed out as our principle boat she is still a force to be reckoned with.

‘Daisy’
Our practice boat, members will become very familiar with her.. A little long in the tooth and heavy for race work, she is enjoying her retirement by making us work hard on training days.

All the above get moved, at various times, on a specially equipped trailer that can hold two boats and all their equipment for a weekends racing. At over a tonne in weight and 14 meters long, it’s quite a vehicle.
